Getting Started
The first thing you will need is your CVS ExtraCare card. You can ask for an application from a cashier in store or you can sign up online. If you sign up in store you will have your card right away. If you sign up online you will need to wait 2 weeks for your card to arrive. Make sure to also sign up for email updates when you register for your Extra Care card so you can get CVS coupons!
Once you have your CVS card every time you go in to CVS make sure to go to the kiosk and scan your CVS ExtraCare card. Coupons will print that can get you some great deals!
Having a CVS ExtraCare card will allow you to get all of the CVS Extra Care Buck offers. Make sure to hand over your CVS ExtraCare card first, before your cashier rings up your purchases. This is how you will get the right sale prices and Extra Care Bucks!
Extra Care Bucks
Extra Care Bucks or ECBs are rewards that give you money back to spend in store (some exclusions apply). In a nutshell CVS has sales every week that give you Extra Care Bucks back to spend in store! The Extra Care Bucks will print out at the end of your receipt. There is usually a limit of one ECB deal per item, but sometimes they will have greater limits!
The best part is being able to apply manufacturer coupons with these Extra Care Buck deals as you can often get FREE products!
They also will give you 2% cash back in the form of Extra Care Bucks on every purchase. These will print out at the end of your receipt every 3 months.
Once you start getting Extra Care Bucks you can use them to buy more items that produce Extra Care Bucks. For example if you got $1 Extra Care Buck this week , you can use it next week on an item that produces Extra Care Bucks too and just keep repeating!
Extra Care Bucks expire 2 weeks from printing.
Coupons
CVS allows you to stack one CVS coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. Extra Care Bucks are not counted as coupons in this respect and you can use as many as you like.
CVS often puts out a $4 off a $20 purchase coupon. The best part is that these can be used towards your purchase before coupons! Just make sure to hand it over first.
